Camp Guidelines

Camper Conduct
Woodlands Baptist Camp reserves the right to refuse enrollment and to dismiss or request the withdrawal of any camper whose conduct/character, in the opinion of the director, is considered a harmful influence to other campers. When such becomes necessary, there is no refund on registration fees or tuition. Attendance at Woodlands Baptist Camp is a privilege, NOT a right. Campers and their families will be responsible for the replacement of broken windows or abusive destruction of property.
We do not tolerate foul language, any form of sexual harassment, the use of drug, tobacco or drinking alcohol. Campers who either bring such to camp or use such while at camp will be sent home. Magazines, playing cards, any type of “Game Boy,” dice, etc. are not permitted. There are no lockers available to secure any item, please do not bring expensive watches, jewelry, or other items to camp. We cannot be held responsible for these things.
If an infraction of these rules occurs during a camper’s stay, we will call the parent or assigned guardian requesting the child to be taken home immediately. The child will not be allowed to finish the day/week of camping.
Dress Code
Because of the nature of “camping,” we recommend that all camper wear full-length jeans/pants. Tee shirts or sports shirts should be worn, not tank top type of shirts. Tee shirts must be without pictures or writing. They must be thick enough that they are not see-through. If you elect to allow your child to wear shorts, our policy requires them to be at least knee length. If short are not knee length, the camper will be sent home with the parent and not allowed to attend that day.
Swimming
All campers are required to wear knee length shorts, thick tee shirts for swimming and under garments beneath their swimming apparel. Girls especially need to be aware of modesty while being wet in the water. Please identify your camper’s swimming apparel by place their name on each item. After swimming, some may desire to change clothes to be dry. Having each item marked with reduce any confusion on ownership.
Boating/Canoeing
During the week, campers will be involved in using canoes/boats for activities. Each camper will be provided a life jacket while participating in either boating or canoeing. No matter how good a swimmer a camper may be, the life jacket must be worn.
Canteen
Campers will have canteen privileges mid-morning and afternoon. During canteen time, campers may purchase soft drinks, candy, snacks, ice cream, and other items. The cost of these items is NOT included in the tuition. Woodland Baptist Camp shirts and hats are available for purchase too.
